Before sexology, he spent years writing and producing for television and podcasts, which means two useful things: he knows how to hold an audience, and he's comfortable with the format — no media training required, no long warm-up needed. He can take a complex, easily-sensationalised topic and make it clear, warm and genuinely useful for a general audience.
